Four of the 42 units are proposed for construction above the existing commercial wings, one of which housed the first Gap location.</p> <p>Neighbors will have an opportunity to ask questions of the project sponsor as well as raise any concerns they may have with the proposed plans.</p> <p>The theatre was designed by Timothy Pflueger, who also designed several well-known buildings and theaters in San Francisco, including the Castro Theatre.</p> <p>The 1931-built theatre recently sustained some damage during the storms in January, causing pieces of plaster from the facade to fall to the sidewalk.
