  in Moscow to object to <strong>National Security Advisor Jake Sullivan’s<
 /strong> <strong>comments suggesting the US supports Ukrainian strikes on 
 Crimea</strong>\, a Black Sea peninsula reunified or annexed by Russia (de
 pending on one’s perspective) after the 2014 US-backed coup in Ukraine. Fr
 om Moscow’s vantage point\, US-assisted attacks on Crimea are as provocati
 ve as direct attacks inside Russia.</p>\n<p>Join us as we speak with journ
 alist Rick Sterling\, who recently returned from Crimea\, to update us on 
 the political climate\, as well as Tamara Lorincz\, an activist with the N
 O to NATO Network focused on State Department censorship of dissenting vie
 ws on Crimea\, as well as the war in Ukraine.</p>\n<h1 dir='ltr'>Featuring
 :</h1>\n<p><strong>Rick Sterling</strong> is a Canadian American journalis
 t who recently returned from Crimea\, a peninsula located between the Blac
 k Sea and the Sea of Azov. Rick will discuss what he saw and heard there\,
  as well as his analysis of the political situation in Crimea\, home to et
 hnic Russians who\, in 2014\, voted to join the Russian Federation. Having
  previously worked in publishing\, electronics and aerospace\, Rick is act
 ive in the Mt. Diablo Peace and Justice Center\, Syria Support Movement\, 
 and Task Force on the Americas. His writing is published at <a href='http:
 //antiwar.com/' target='_blank' rel='noopener noreferrer'>AntiWar.com</a>\
 , LA Progressive and other progressive sites.</p>\n<p><strong>Tamara Lorin
 cz</strong> serves on the advisory committee of the No to NATO Network\, G
 lobal Network Against Weapons and Nuclear Power in Space\, and World Beyon
 d War. She is a PhD candidate in Global Governance at the Balsillie School
  for International Affairs at Wilfrid Laurier University and holds a Maste
 rs in International Politics & Security Studies from the University of Bra
 dford\, as well as a law degree and MBA from Dalhousie University. Her res
 earch focuses on the climate and environmental impacts of the military. As
  a member of the Women’s International League for Peace and Freedom-Canada
 \, she serves as the International’s convenor of the Environment Working G
