 annexed by Russia (depending on one’s perspective) after the 2014 US-backe
 d coup in Ukraine. From Moscow’s vantage point\, US-assisted attacks on Cr
 imea are as provocative as direct attacks inside Russia.\nJoin us as we sp
 eak with journalist Rick Sterling\, who recently returned from Crimea\, to
  update us on the political climate\, as well as Tamara Lorincz\, an activ
 ist with the NO to NATO Network focused on State Department censorship of 
 dissenting views on Crimea\, as well as the war in Ukraine.\nFeaturing:\nR
 ick Sterling is a Canadian American journalist who recently returned from 
 Crimea\, a peninsula located between the Black Sea and the Sea of Azov. Ri
 ck will discuss what he saw and heard there\, as well as his analysis of t

  voted to join the Russian Federation. Having previously worked in publish
 ing\, electronics and aerospace\, Rick is active in the Mt. Diablo Peace a

 ressive sites.\nTamara Lorincz serves on the advisory committee of the No 
 to NATO Network\, Global Network Against Weapons and Nuclear Power in Spac
 e\, and World Beyond War. She is a PhD candidate in Global Governance at t
 he Balsillie School for International Affairs at Wilfrid Laurier Universit
 y and holds a Masters in International Politics & Security Studies from th
 e University of Bradford\, as well as a law degree and MBA from Dalhousie 
 University. Her research focuses on the climate and environmental impacts 
 of the military. As a member of the Women’s International League for Peace
  and Freedom-Canada\, she serves as the International’s convenor of the En
