<p><strong>HSH Community Meeting on Tiny Cabins at 1979 Mission Street</strong></p> <p>This month instead of having our monthly meeting we want to flex our collective power. That is why we want to ask our club members to show up and comment at the Department of Homelessness and Supportive Housing community meeting on proposed cabin community at 1979 Mission St. The purpose of the meeting is to inform the community about the proposal, hear questions from community members, and talk about ongoing opportunities for collaboration.</p> <p>If any community has felt the pain of the housing crisis it is ours. We account for 40% of folks who are unhoused, while only 16% of San Francisco’s population. Many of our families are living in cramped conditions, with two to three families in a one or two-bedroom apartment. It is these disparities that we want to be alleviated by well-proven solutions. <a href="https://sflatinodemocrats.us21.list-manage.com/track/click?u=02f999b5bae377954fa6f09ae&id=15fbda9b6e&e=268f27e0f7" target="_blank" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">Tiny homes and other alternative housing opportunities have been built, tested, and shown to be effective specifically for low-income folks in California.</a> Is it a perfect silver bullet?
