TK News While President Biden’s 2020 candidacy was largely supported by environmental activists over the incumbent President Trump, their movement has grown increasingly frustrated by what they see as a betrayal in the approval of fossil fuel projects like Line 3. Over the week of October 11 to 15, climate activists held direct action throughout Washington DC, leading to a total of more than 400 arrests as the movement demanded Biden cancel the pipelines, declare a climate emergency, and govern toward a green future.
