PDAMERICA • Streamed live 95 minutes ago On Sunday’s PDA Town Hall, we’ll hear from an inspiring progressive, and discuss why the progressive agenda can inspire the American people and revive our democracy. Elizabeth Guzman is a true working-class hero. She immigrated to the United States from Peru just 25 years ago. In order to survive and raise her daughter, Elizabeth held down multiple jobs and worked her way through college and attained multiple Masters Degrees. She became an accomplished social worker and immigrant rights advocate. When Donald Trump was elected President, Elizabeth knew she had to do more. She ran for the Virginia House of Delegates and upset a 16-year incumbent. In the State House, Elizabeth maintained her phenomenal work ethic. She introduced over 100 pieces of legislation in just over two years. When Elizabeth’s Congressperson, Democrat Abigail Spanberger, announced that she was not running for re-election in the 7th, she threw her hat in the ring. As the true progressive in a very crowded field, Guzman has a good chance of winning the primary. We would be blessed to have her on Capitol Hill!
