Ballots have officially hit mailboxes in California.

We have a unique opportunity to elect an incoming legislature that will take the historic step of guaranteeing health care to all in California.

Legislators in 31 seats, which is over a quarter of the legislature, are termed out or retiring, and we are working to elect 11 candidates who, if elected, will put us in a much stronger position to pass CalCare in 2023.

Our work right now is to get out the vote for these candidates, and we need your help, Mike.

Let us be clear, Mike. The work we put in right now is central to our ability to pass CalCare in the next legislative session.

As we continue to build a mass grassroots movement across the state, one key area of focus must be to create the legislative conditions in Sacramento necessary to enact progressive policies like CalCare. That starts with electing a core group of legislators who will fight for CalCare when they head to Sacramento.

We’ve identified some of the most important races of this election cycle, and we’ve already started mobilizing across the state to help win them. Together, Mike, we can elect these candidates and get one step closer to transformative health care reform.
