It was a week when the worst budget bill in our lifetime passed through the U.S. House, punishing the many and rewarding the wealthy few. And a senseless, tragic act of violence in the heart of the nation’s capital ratcheted up an ever-increasing sense of anxiety that many fear will be exploited by the Trump administration to further suppress free speech and political expression.

What do we do at PDA?

We re-commit to peace and solidarity! We strengthen our resolve to fight poverty and support the working class. We state loud and clear that we will never accept the destruction of our democracy, or the limitation of free speech.

And there is nobody in our country at this time better to lead this call than the great Nina Turner, who joins our Town Hall this Sunday at 4pm ET/1pm PT.

These are difficult days indeed; but nothing we can’t overcome with fortitude and a vision for a better future achieved through sound progressive policies.
