Municipal Services Project is organizing an in-person one-day conference to be held at the University of Ottawa on Friday October 14, 2022. Public banks are experiencing a resurgence of interest around the world. The purpose of this conference is to stimulate critical debate about the future of public banks in Canada, with a focus on how they could be more democratic, more inclusive and more ‘public’ in their orientation. There is no charge for attendance (including lunch) but you must register in advance. Limited travel subsidies are available for students and community organizations.
