With CalCare (AB 2200) reintroduced in the California State Assembly, we’re organizing to build the momentum needed to get it passed into law this year.
Late last week, we got word that CalCare was officially referred to the Assembly Health Committee, which means it’s being assigned to get a hearing and vote by April 26th! This is a big step, but we need to continue building public support to keep it moving forward — especially as the corporate health care industry works to stop it.
We’re organizing canvass events across the state to talk directly with community members about what CalCare is and why we need to pass it to fix our broken health care system and establish guaranteed health care for every Californian.
