**The film has Spanish subtitles.

The discussion will be done by Zoom and conference phone on Friday (day after tomorrow):  See Zoom invitation below.  See, also, the numbers for phone access.  You will still be part of the conference but your participant-picture won’t be represented on screen.

Film Folks
I’ve had to make a change to Sensible Cinema’s film discussion for April’s film.  In order to allow for more than 40 minutes, i was able to get access to another account at the church – thanks to Tom Brookshire of the UUSF Mens Group.
This new connection to the Zoom meeting on Friday, 7:00 pm will replace the mail-out that you previously received (#2. below).  Sorry about the confusion but we now have 1-1/2 hours to discuss the same film.  The film link and Zoom sign-in procedure are below.  If you don’t have computer access you can phone in using the phone numbers in the Zoom invitation.
1.)  The film can still be accessed at the same URL to view before the discussion at your convenience:
2.)  Sensible Cinema Zoom Meeting on Friday, April 17 from 7:00 pm to 8:30 pm

The film is powerful, sincere, intelligent and is hopeful about a new economic mindset to deal with the on-going climate change pandemic.

ICE ON FIRE

Friday, April 17, 7:00pm

Virtual Film Discussion Gathering via Zoom

Leonardo DiCaprio’s latest documentary film focuses on the reason for and solutions to climate change.  Unlike his previous film, Before the Flood (Sensible Cinema’s film choice for April of 2017) this one reviews the problem and presents very up-to-date technological ways greenhouse gases can be removed from the atmosphere.  It offers a spectrum of choices with promising answers.

The film premiered on HBO in June, 2019, is produced by Leonardo DiCaprio, George DiCaprio and Matthew Schmid.   It’s directed by Leila Conners and narrated by Leonardo DiCaprio.  98 mins
