Greetings, Berniecrats!
The time has come for us to decide on the future of our club, many of whose successes over the past nine years were born from your involvement. We thank you for your time, your work, and your financial support, all of which have made the Berniecrats synonymous with the progressive non-Democrat left in San Francisco.
Alas, these are challenging times, for both progressivism writ large and our club specifically. We will be holding a special general membership meeting on Wednesday, February 19, from 6:30-8:00 pm, both in person at 518 Valencia St. and via Zoom to discuss how we proceed as a club.

At a meeting on Sunday, the remaining e-board members voted unanimously to recommend that we dissolve the Berniecrats given the challenges in filling board seats and retaining—let alone growing—membership. The decision to recommend dissolution also came after seeking input from past e-board and other former members.
Ultimately, it’s your club, and its future is yours to decide. Following a moderated group discussion, we’ll send out ballots to members in good standing so you can vote on whether to dissolve the Berniecrats or pursue other options including a scaled-back operation that focuses solely on publishing another one of our vaunted trilingual voter guides. It’s also not too late for members wishing to continue the Berniecrats to help lead the club by stepping up and running for an e-board seat. Nominations are still open!
If you’re receiving this email you’re invited to attend the meeting, but only members in good standing can vote in the subsequent special election.
