SF Labor Council Meeting
On Single Payer Healthcare
Mon 6pm Sept 24
1621 Market St at Franklin
Dear Healthcare Activist,
I hope you can attend the San Francisco Labor Council’s meeting on Medicare for All on Monday September 24 from 6pm to 7:30 pm.
The meeting is also sponsored by Jobs with Justice.
It would be great if the labor could find a way to get Congresswoman Nancy Pelosi to sponsor HR 676, the Expanded and Improved Medicare for All Act.
Speakers on Monday are:
Mark Dudzic, National Coordinator of the Labor Campaign for Single Payer
Maureen “Mo” Dugan, RN, UCSF and CNA Board of Directors
Ian Lewis, Research Director for Unite-HERE, Local 2
Dr. Jeff Gee, MD. Clinical Professor at UCSF and Small Group Practice at St Luke’s
Some of us will meet at the home of Susan Cieutat on Sunday evening Sept 23 at 5:30pm to discuss the Monday’s meeting. On Sunday we will discuss what are some good questions to ask on Monday.
From 5:30 to 6pm, we will chat informally and at 6pm we will discuss the next night’s labor council meeting.
Please let us know if you can attend Sunday’s informal meeting and if you can attend Monday’s labor council’s meeting.
