Stand Against Violence Of Humans and Non-humans At Peoples Park

Details

Thank you for wanting to come / being interested in helping to protect People’s Park!
PLEASE READ THIS VERY IMPORTANT INFORMATION ABOUT THE ACTION AND NONVIOLENCE!
Anyone who wants to help fund this action please Venmo @marbrisa-flores with the message #protectpeoplespark

We are really wanting to make this big and you can help make a major impact by coming! Imagine how the police and the locals react when such a large amount of people come together to stand up for what is right…bringing the discussion to faults of the systems instead of destroying more land to create more band aids. By staying nonviolent and speaking our mind on going to the roots of the problem, we can spark a major discussion on prioritizing solving problems effectively by creating a world where all can be taken care of by each other instead of limited by the governments and corporations that are working in collaboration to make profit (concentrated power). There is a threat of legal repression on staying in the park past hours (10pm) and even just having a tent up on the park (“private property.”) If you do not wish to be in the risk of being arrested, you can come during open hours and if you stay after hours, you can leave if the police come but, again we could create a way better scene if we all stick together. If you decide that you want to stay over night (many of us have already said we are willing) we will get through any repression together as a people. I feel as though if we remain NONVIOLENT the worst thing that could be charged on us is trespassing and illegal lodging on campus property.

Depending on how this fans out, we are wanting to do this again in the future to get as much people out as possible to hold NONVIOLENT protest. I must warn that there are people there who will not necessarily be a part of the protest that may have violent mentalities since sadly not everyone is trained and are at this time trying to live out the courageous acts of living in alignment with nonviolent values. WE can all be nonviolence marshall’s and lovingly inform anyone that we are here in peace and love for everyone and focusing our anger on the system to gain awareness and education and community strength building and not attacking individuals. In the case of anyone acting out of accordance to nonviolent values, we will politely ask them to not be around us due to wanting to maintain our personal strategy to keep the surrounding area of where we are a safe space from violent tendencies. There will be other people who are holding personal and group actions as well most likely and the people who call the park home.

Please if you come do not bring any illegal drugs (even though the war on drugs is a big bogus profit scheme for prisons) since there could be a legal risk or any other weapons or something that would cause you to get more charges than basic ones. (Weed is fine if you’re 21+ , I wouldn’t bring a lot and WE will prefer that if WE’D like to smoke to step away from the general grouping)

Please bring just what you need and not too much else. Some basic things to bring:
(Please bring extra of any of these if you can to share with others)
Tent

Sleeping bag

Water (Big jugs at dollar store)

(VERY Important) Food. We prefer as activists and many anarchists who have understood speciesism and domination of non-human animals in our society, we are against all forms of domination and we will not be consuming animal products due to it being the worst “products” on the face of the planet If you’d like to learn why many of us would love to explain what happens in Animal Agriculture and many investigations that have been done to expose this industry. Please bring VEGAN food, but not too much so we prevent waste and trash overload (there are trashcans available in the park)

LOVE (this is the MOST IMPORTANT) Accepting where everyone is and flowing information to each other of views on politics, tactics and personal retributions and troubles. We are all unique and have wonderful information to share with each other to help each other grow in our activism and understanding of the world and it’s problems and healing.
