Join Milk Clubbers this Saturday, June 3rd, at the District 8 Tenants Convention! Hosted by the Housing Rights Committee, this event will bring together renters throughout the district (including the Castro, Noe Valley, Duboce Triangle, Glen Park, and the northern edge of the Mission) to talk about strategies for combating real estate speculation, one of the primary forces driving our current housing crisis. The Convention will be held at the Women’s Buidling from 11am – 2pm. And yes, this convention is open to all SF residents! Find details here.

The convention will feature a “know your rights” training, a talk on speculation and how it leads to higher rents and evictions, and then ways that people can fight it and help stop evictions and displacement.
The convention, which is free, will take place on June 3 at the Women’s Building (on 18th between Guerrero and Valencia), from 11am – 2pm. It is part of a series of conventions that will be taking place in various neighborhoods throughout the city. It is cosponsored by the SF Tenants Union, the Housing Rights Committee, the Harvey Milk LGBT Democratic Club, the Metropolitan Community Church, and D8 Democrats.
