{"id":21137,"date":"2022-01-18T11:39:25","date_gmt":"2022-01-18T19:39:25","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/occupysf.net\/?p=21137"},"modified":"2022-01-18T11:39:27","modified_gmt":"2022-01-18T19:39:27","slug":"single-payer-in-california","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/occupysf.net\/index.php\/2022\/01\/18\/single-payer-in-california\/","title":{"rendered":"Single Payer in California"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>First,&nbsp; the exciting news&#8230;.This past week CA AB 1400 had a hearing and vote in the Assembly Health Committee.&nbsp; &nbsp;Over 250 people attended online and the vote passed (11-3).&nbsp; Next stop, the Assembly Appropriations committee for a hearing and vote Thursday, January 20th, then to the full Assembly for a vote before Jan. 31.&nbsp;<br><a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.assembly.ca.gov\/media\/assembly-health-committee-20220111\/video\">Here is the recording<\/a>&nbsp;of the Health committee hearing that includes almost 2 hrs of public comment at the end before the vote.&nbsp; Assemblyman Jim Wood, previously an opponent, began the committee discussion of the bill (after public comment) by delivering a powerful statement of support.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Here is the&nbsp;<a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/leginfo.legislature.ca.gov\/faces\/billNavClient.xhtml?bill_id=202120220AB1400\">text for bill AB 1400<\/a>Here is the&nbsp;<a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/leginfo.legislature.ca.gov\/faces\/billTextClient.xhtml?bill_id=202120220ACA11\">text of the&nbsp; financing bill<\/a><br><strong>ACTIONS for volunteers-&nbsp;<\/strong>whatever you can do will be greatly appreciated!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>1.
