EVENTS for MONDAY From Gray Panthers and AIPEC<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n From Gray Panthers:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n Supervisors: Vote NO to Mandatory Police Staffing and Funding<\/strong><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n Monday \u2022 October 30 \u2022 10 am<\/strong><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n SF Supes <\/strong>Rules Committee<\/a><\/strong> will be discussing a <\/strong>charter amendment<\/a><\/strong>to mandate police funding and minimum staffing for police for the March 2024 ballot. Please plan on coming and speaking out against this measure. It is first on the <\/strong>Agenda<\/a><\/strong>.<\/strong> It sets staffi<\/strong>ng of officers at 1,700 for the first year, then raises the number by 100 every year after that for five years, and locks the budget into funding those positions. This will directly negatively impact funding for healthcare, ho<\/strong>using, jobs, childcare, and more.
