Statue of President Trump and Jeffrey Epstein removed from DC’s National Mall<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A garish statue of President Trump and late pedophile Jeffrey Epstein<\/a> was mysteriously erected on the National Mall on Tuesday \u2014 and removed by Wednesday morning.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The bronze sculpture stood about 12 feet tall and appeared to show both men in a merry dance with Trump\u2019s left hand gripping Epstein\u2019s right<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

One of the plaques under the figures read: \u201cWe celebrate the long-lasting bond between President Donald J. Trump and his \u2018closest friend\u2019 Jeffrey Epstein\u201d and attributed the stunt to an anonymous group called \u201cThe Secret Handshake.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cWe\u2019re a very small group of citizens who are using art, irony, and humor to express social commentary and spark political conversation in public spaces,\u201d the group told USA Today.<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n

US Park Police hauled the installation away before daybreak Wednesday, telling WUSA 9<\/a> that it wasn\u2019t in compliance with a permit that initially allowed it to remain through Sunday evening \u2014 though the department did not specify the issue.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Democrats have tried for months to make political hay of the friendship between Trump and Epstein, despite the fact that the future president had cut ties with the disgraced financier by the mid-2000s<\/a>, years before Epstein faced criminal prosecution for sex trafficking and child prostitution.<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Since the FBI and DOJ released a July 6 joint memo concluding<\/a> that Epstein, 66, killed himself while awaiting federal trial on Aug. 10, 2019, and did not keep a \u201cclient list\u201d of rich and powerful friends who shared his predilection for girls as young as 14, the Trump administration has faced pressure to release all files related to the case.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Last week, former South Florida US Attorney\u00a0Alex Acosta spoke to the House Oversight Committee<\/a>\u00a0to explain a sweetheart plea deal Epstein received in exchange for pleading guilty in 2008 to Florida state charges of solicitation of prostitution and procurement of minors for prostitution.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Under the terms of that deal, Epstein only served 13 months \u2014 much of that time on work release.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cLiberals are free to waste their money however they see fit \u2014 but it\u2019s not news that Epstein knew Donald Trump, because Donald Trump kicked Epstein out of his club for being a creep,\u201d the White House told Time magazine<\/a> in a statement.96<\/p>\n\n\n\n
