Just close out your apps and don\u2019t open them again until Spotify stops forcing ICE ads into people\u2019s feeds.&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Instead of sharing your Spotify Wrapped this year,&nbsp;<a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/act.indivisible.org\/go\/881282?t=9&amp;akid=122629%2E3029%2E3MNzN1\">share our Wrapped-themed posts calling on others to cancel Spotify<\/a><\/strong>.&nbsp;As long as Spotify is willing to take money from ICE, they don\u2019t need (and don\u2019t deserve) free advertising on our social feeds. And there\u2019s no reason you can\u2019t post your own list of top songs\/artists on social &#8212; maybe alongside a message about why you chose not to stream them on Spotify.&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Use this social media moment to have&nbsp;<em>GENTLE, NON-SHAMING<\/em>&nbsp;conversations with friends about the Spotify boycott<\/strong>.&nbsp;Seriously, no one is going to respond well to judgy DMs when they\u2019re just trying to post something fun about the music they like. So approach with kindness, maybe compliment their music tastes, and then talk about why you\u2019ve decided to stream from other platforms for the time being (one point you can make: Those platforms probably treat their favorite artists much, much better than Spotify does).&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Help us track the growth of this economic campaign<\/strong>&nbsp;by taking our&nbsp;<a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/act.indivisible.org\/survey\/one-question-spotify-survey\/?source=email_20251203&amp;utm_source=email&amp;t=10&amp;akid=122629%2E3029%2E3MNzN1\">one-question survey<\/a>.&nbsp;<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Psychologists have looked at why people love sharing Spotify Wrapped so much, and the answer is pretty straightforward: We do it because it makes us feel like part of a group and because it&#8217;s a form of self-expression.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The good news is, standing in solidarity with immigrant communities by promoting a boycott of Spotify accomplishes both of these things too.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The more of us do it, the more we can bring others along with us.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>And we\u2019d argue (humbly, as massive music fans ourselves) this kind of activism says more about what kind of person you are than a colorful list of the songs you streamed most this year.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Spotify ends this year&#8217;s Wrapped by telling customers, \u201call of your listening makes you part of something bigger.\u201d&nbsp;<a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/act.indivisible.org\/go\/881276?t=11&amp;akid=122629%2E3029%2E3MNzN1\">Strategically boycotting Spotify<\/a>&nbsp;until it stops recruiting for ICE makes you part of something bigger, too.
