Democratic Rep. Summer Lee introduced articles<\/a> of impeachment<\/a> against US Attorney General Pam Bondi<\/a> on Tuesday and accused the nation\u2019s top prosecutor of \u201cbreaking the law to protect pedophiles\u201d and prosecute President Donald Trump\u2019s \u201cpolitical opponents.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

And that cannot continue to be our reality,\u201d Lee (D-Pa.) said in a video posted to her social media<\/a> on Tuesday announcing the articles.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Two of the five articles pertain to Bondi\u2019s conduct surrounding the Department of Justice\u2019s (DOJ) release of files related to the late billionaire sex offender Jeffrey Epstein, which the DOJ has been accused of covering up to protect Trump.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

One article accuses Bondi of obstruction of Congress for failing to comply with a\u00a0subpoena<\/a>\u00a0in July 2025, which required the DOJ to release the full, unredacted files to the House Oversight Committee in August as part of a congressional inquiry.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
