Vice President JD Vance<\/a> stunned observers on Thursday with some of the bluntest criticism issued to Israel by a US presidential administration in recent memory as Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu<\/a> continues his attempts to sabotage peace<\/a> with Iran.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Noting the indignance and defiance<\/a> of Netanyahu and his cabinet in response to the memorandum of understanding signed this week by Trump\u2014which calls on<\/a> Israel to withdraw from Lebanon<\/a> and end its ethnic cleansing campaign<\/a> there\u2014Vance said<\/a> Israel\u2019s leaders were in the midst of a \u201cweird panic\u201d and \u201cfreakout\u201d during a New York Times<\/a> interview on Thursday.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
