California Democratic Party election of top officers

April 1, 2021 @ 5:00 pm – 6:00 pm America/Los Angeles Timezone
Online via Zoom

We have an awesome event lined up for this Thursday and you’re invited!

California boasts the largest state Democratic party in the country. They control a vast majority of state legislature seats and all of the statewide elective offices. So then why do so many of the most prominent Democrats from the state stray so far from the progressive policies their voters support?

Ballots have been going out to elect the state party’s chair and other officers. These elections are hugely important for determining the political and legislative direction California moves in. The reverberations of which will influence state parties across the country.

Join on Thursday, April 1, at 5 pm PT | 8 pm ET alongside Amar Shergill, Progressive Caucus Chair of the California Democratic Party, and Jeanna Harris, 54th Assembly District delegate to the Democratic State Central Committee and 2nd VP of the Culver City Democratic Club, for a discussion on the upcoming California Democratic Party election of top officers.

After the discussion, we will TAKE ACTION together, urging Congress to support HR328, a bill to impose a simple 0.1% tax on Wall Street transactions that would raise $80 billion a year for human and environmental crises.
