Legislative Update Town Hall

March 30, 2021 @ 5:00 pm – 6:00 pm America/Los Angeles Timezone

We’re in the midst of a hopeful moment when it comes to the pandemic, even if it doesn’t always feel like it.

About one in four Californians has received at least one dose of the vaccine. Plus, it’s Spring! Our days getting longer, and with restrictions loosening, things are starting to feel a bit more “normal” around here. (That said, keep up your mask wearing and social distancing for a little while longer. We’re almost there!)

Amidst all of this, we’re in the middle of our busy legislative session, and I’m authoring 23 bills. I’m holding a Virtual Legislative Update Town Hall to tell you more. My legislation will help our economy recover from COVID-19, address our housing and climate crises, expand access to food benefits, support small businesses, reduce overdose deaths, protect sex workers and trans women of color, end failed War on Drugs policies, invest in clean energy, and so much more.

As we move toward a more hopeful future, much work remains. People are still struggling to make rent. Many businesses are still closed. Mental health issues, substance use and overdose rates are higher than we’ve ever seen before. And our schools are still closed.

That’s why I’m holding a Virtual Legislative Update and Town Hall on Tuesday. March 30th at 5pm. I’ll be hosting a conversation about our 2021 legislative package and the California Legislature’s work this year. I’m up in Sacramento fighting for our communities, and I want to hear from you and answer your questions.

I hope you’ll join us >>
