The day after elections and seeing an alarmingly large number of voters reveal they’re against rent control, OPD was allowed to serve the\u00a0#<\/span>HousingAndDignityVillage<\/span><\/span><\/a>\u00a0with an eviction notice. Since then, The East Oakland Collective and The Village in Oakland\u00a0#<\/span>feedthepeople<\/span><\/span><\/a>\u00a0have been doing what’s necessary to still stand firm on this PUBLIC reclaimed land. If you want to be part of fighting for the basic human right of housing, this is how you can help out. Every little bit helps!<\/p>\n

\nCome with tents, sleeping bags, food for potluck, and high spirits.
\nTOMORROW (11\/10)
\nShow up by 7:30 am and be ready to tell the city this eviction is wrong and stand ground for uplifting Oakland’s most marginalized women.<\/p>\n
