And somebody said, \u2018Try acupuncture!\u2019\u201d she said.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>She connected with an acupuncturist whose daughter attended the same primary school as Leatherman\u2019s own daughter, a fortuitous decision. \u201cShe cured me!\u201d said Leatherman, \u201cOr, I should say, acupuncture cured me of the migraines.\u201d&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>She has since been back for navigating digestive issues, a stressful job, and a rotator cuff problem. So far, acupuncture has worked for everything.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Still, Leatherman understands it might not be for everyone. \u201cSome people are, you know, dead set against any kind of alternative medicine or needles or whatever,\u201d she said. \u201cIf somebody asks, I\u2019ll say it works for me.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>She cites a deeper \u201cwhole mind-body\u201d connection than she has experienced elsewhere. \u201cI\u2019ve had experiences on the table \u2014&nbsp;I know this is going to sound crazy \u2014 where I was out. I was just somewhere else,\u201d she said. \u201c[The room] is heated. There\u2019s nice music on. You\u2019re all cozy.
