A new version will most likely be presented at the meeting on Monday.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This is a very&nbsp;<strong>DANGEROUS ORDINANCE<\/strong>! &nbsp;This will give SFPD 24\/7 access of all the cameras in the city including private residences and business cameras.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Matt Cagle, staff attorney at the ACLU, put it this way:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&nbsp;&nbsp;<em>\u201c\u2026SFPD wants to co-opt private cameras, apparently to place certain neighborhoods under near constant, preemptive surveillance. Police commandeering people\u2019s cameras to spy on their neighbors doesn\u2019t reduce crime but it will fuel inequality and invite racial profiling.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em>&nbsp;\u201cCagle said that the level of surveillance the cops are asking for is \u201cunprecedented in city history.
