A janitor was also reportedly told by a member of Musk\u2019s team that the custodial staff would eventually be \u201creplaced with robots,\u201d&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.businessinsider.com\/laid-off-janitors-musk-twitter-told-robots-would-replace-them-2022-12\">Business Insider reported.<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>EmilyRose Johns, an attorney with Siegel, Yee, Brunner &amp; Mehta, which represents Local 87, said they filed unfair labor practice charges last week against Twitter with the National Labor Relations Board.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Juana Chavero, a janitor who worked with Flagship for more than five years, said what kept her hopeful throughout the terrifying period of the pandemic \u2014 in which she and other janitors were still expected to come to work every day and clean the Twitter building \u2014 was the security she had from health care though her union.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cHe\u2019s taken everything that we have possibly worked for,\u201d she said in Spanish. \u201cThis man and company is not above the law.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em>Annie Vainshtein (she\/her) is a San Francisco Chronicle staff writer.
