\u201cWe cannot be content, no matter how high that general standard of living may be, if some fraction of our people \u2014 whether it be one-third or one-fifth or one-tenth \u2014 is ill-fed, ill-clothed, ill-housed, and insecure.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n Nearly 80 years later, it\u2019s time to bring back those words as well as the solution Roosevelt prescribed. He wanted an Economic Bill of Rights, and so do I.<\/p>\n\n\n\n We can begin a new chapter in American history, with a goal of economic security for all Americans.<\/strong> Poll after poll shows that Americans feel this country is moving in the wrong direction economically \u2013 and they are correct.<\/p>\n\n\n\n When I am president this will change.
