At the time of his shooting, Sean was unarmed and suffering a mental health crisis. Despite Cleo Moore previously informing SFPD of Sean\u2019s mental health struggles, Kenneth Cha and the other officers at the scene resorted to brutal force instead of crisis de-escalation. On January 20, 2020, Sean passed away as a result of the gun wounds while serving an unjust sentence in San Quentin State Prison.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>How has the District Attorney\u2019s Office responded?<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&nbsp;In November of 2021, former District Attorney Chesa Boudin charged SFPD officer Kenneth Cha with voluntary manslaughter and assault with a semi[1]automatic firearm.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&nbsp;However, current District Attorney Brooke Jenkins has failed to move the charges forward, delaying justice and police accountability from Sean Moore\u2019s family.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>(Above info from SF Rising)<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>While Brooke Jenkins says she advocates for police accountability, she has failed to commit to her word.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Her recent actions:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>On May 15<sup>th<\/sup>, Jenkins&nbsp; announced that she would not be filing charges&nbsp;against Michael Earl-Wayne Anthony, the private security guard who shot Brown.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>On May 19<sup>th<\/sup>&nbsp;her office officially dismissed the case against former SFPD officerChristopher Samayoa, for the killing of Keita O\u2019Neil<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>On May 11, 2023, Jenkins dismissed the charges on SFPD\u2019s officer Christopher Flores for the shooting of Jamaica Hampton<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Sean Moore\u2019s case is one of three cases that former DA Boudin has charged a SFPD officer.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>On Friday, May 26<sup>th<\/sup>&nbsp;will Brooke Jenkins and the \u2018justice system\u2019 again dismiss holding SFPD accountable??<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Press Conference&nbsp;<\/strong>after the court hearing (around 9:30am) outside The Hall of Justice.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>2.
