We\u2019ve been sounding the alarm for years:\u00a0banks are pouring financial fuel on the climate crisis<\/strong>\u00a0\u2014 and then gaslighting us all by pretending they\u2019re not responsible. Now, our newest report is shining the light directly on Bank of America to expose just how dirty their financing really is.Let me give you an example: Bank of America has a public policy restricting the financing of Arctic oil drilling \u2014 but that doesn\u2019t stop them from financing the companies behind those projects\u2026 that\u2019s a pretty big loophole if you ask me.In fact, Bank of America gave ConocoPhillips \u2014 the company responsible for the Willow Project, a new oil drilling project in Alaska \u2014 over $100 million last year alone. So\u00a0while they say they don’t support Arctic drilling, their money says otherwise<\/strong>.\u00a0<\/td><\/tr>

Bank of America\u2019s very own human rights statement notes \u201cthe significant risks that climate change poses \u2026 to the human rights of individuals and communities affected by climate change.\u201d\u00a0But Bank of America keeps financing fossil expansion<\/strong>! Including the largest build-out of our lifetimes: methane gas expansion in the Gulf South.There are a staggering 25+ new methane gas (what the industry greenwashes as liquefied \u201cnatural\u201d gas or LNG) export terminals slated along the Gulf Coast. Gulf communities are already overburdened by both the toxic impacts of the petrochemical industry and climate disasters like increasing hurricanes and floods.\u00a0Every new fossil fuel project \u2014 especially in places like \u201cCancer Alley\u201d \u2014 is a blatant disregard for human life<\/strong>.Last year alone, Bank of America provided $959 MILLION to the top 30 methane-expanding companies.\u00a0Will you spread the word that Bank of America is financing destruction, Michael?<\/u><\/strong>Help us expose Bank of America!<\/a>
