In a massive brief,&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/theintercept.com\/2022\/11\/23\/trump-jack-smith-justice-department\/\">special counsel Jack Smith<\/a>&nbsp;offered a blow-by-blow of Trump\u2019s many calls, tweets, and meetings with key figures like Rudy Giuliani and attorney John Eastman.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/storage.courtlistener.com\/recap\/gov.uscourts.dcd.258148\/gov.uscourts.dcd.258148.252.0_3.pdf\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" target=\"_blank\">165-page document<\/a>&nbsp;is a page-turner, but it can be hard to follow. Many names are redacted and replaced with pseudonyms like \u201cCC1,\u201d short for \u201cCo-Conspirator 1,\u201d and \u201cP76,\u201d short for \u201cPerson 76.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>We\u2019re here to help. Below is the core cast of characters, plus some bit players who have received little attention until now.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-cc1-rudy-giuliani\">CC1 \u2014 Rudy Giuliani<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>The brief introduces Giuliani as a \u201cprivate attorney\u201d who was \u201cwilling to falsely claim victory and spread knowingly false claims of election fraud.\u201d Giuliani, who has since been&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/apnews.com\/article\/rudy-giuliani-disbarred-dc-washington-2020-election-trump-new-york-f555f010338fddbac0b0cbeb4a11d73d\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" target=\"_blank\">disbarred<\/a>&nbsp;in New York and Washington, D.C., is also notably bad at dialing phone numbers, the brief notes, including a misdial to one Michigan lawmaker and two U.S. senators.
