The bill hands a blank check to Trump and Elon Musk, guts vital services, and strips Congress of its constitutional power to decide how public funds are spent.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>There is a deep sense of outrage and betrayal among Democratic lawmakers, progressive advocates, and grassroots activists\u2014a backlash so intense that Schumer was forced to postpone his national book tour due to protests and public fury over his decision.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Senate Democrats need a strong, principled leader committed to doing everything possible to stop Trump\u2019s attacks on working families, protect democracy, and hold the administration accountable.
