The good news is people are thinking about what we need to do for the next election. This is my take on what we should be doing as a society\u2026 Not just as one party or the other).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p id=\"b236\">When did we become okay with cruelty?<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p id=\"2aed\">This week, Canada\u2026 our closest ally and largest trading partner\u2026 said they are stepping away from their historic friendship with the United States. Newly elected Prime Minister Mark Carney made it clear: their relationship with America is changing. That should concern all of us.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p id=\"8193\">We are deeply connected; economically, culturally, and strategically. When our diplomacy turns into hostility and isolation, we don\u2019t just lose face\u2026 we lose jobs, stability, and trust.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p id=\"62fe\">This didn\u2019t happen overnight. Over the past few years, we\u2019ve witnessed a rise in political cruelty, bullying, and arrogance. And too many people have looked the other way, rationalizing it in the name of winning elections. That\u2019s not leadership\u2026 it\u2019s erosion.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p id=\"9c84\">In 2025, we heard a lot about Project 2025, a plan that sought to remake the government with far-right ideology and centralized power. It made headlines. It made waves. But it also left many of us asking: is this really who we want to be?<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p id=\"48b8\">I believe we need a different path forward. One not built on fear and division, but on dignity, accountability, and human interaction. We need to talk. To listen. To be better.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p id=\"8cfe\">It\u2019s time for Project 2029 (or something that gets people thinking and taking action).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p id=\"eca0\">This is a people-powered vision\u2026 not one created by think tanks or political machines, but by those of us who believe that respect, empathy, and service still matter.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p id=\"f8a2\">My ideas of a Project 2029 is about:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p id=\"7232\">\u2022 Electing leaders who will not look away when people are mistreated, marginalized, or bullied.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p id=\"6376\">\u2022 Holding our government accountable\u2026 demanding efficiency and financial responsibility, not bloated bureaucracy or waste.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p id=\"1b7a\">\u2022 Reinvesting in public education, ensuring that every child, regardless of background, has the tools to think critically and thrive.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p id=\"8025\">\u2022 Fixing healthcare. Not with soundbites, but with real reform. It\u2019s too expensive, too complex, and too broken for us to keep pretending otherwise.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p id=\"3b22\">\u2022 Creating opportunity for all\u2026. while remembering that harming one group to help another isn\u2019t justice, it\u2019s just a different form of imbalance.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p id=\"1d9f\">And most importantly, it\u2019s about civility. Not fake politeness, but genuine human connection. Real conversations. A shared commitment to helping, not hurting.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p id=\"f37e\">We don\u2019t need to agree on every policy to agree that kindness, fairness, and understanding should be national values.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p id=\"2c7e\">This isn\u2019t about left or right. It\u2019s about right or wrong. It\u2019s about charting a future that looks our kids in the eye and says, we did our best to do good.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p id=\"23e4\">Project 2029 needs to starts now\u2026 with everyday people demanding better and choosing leaders who reflect our highest values, not our lowest instincts.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p id=\"4409\">History is paying attention.
