We want everyone<\/em> treated with dignity and respect.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We want a country where people have the opportunity to thrive\u2014and where due process under the law still matters<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We want our leaders to do their damn job<\/em> and pass just immigration reform.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

No one is asking for murderers, rapists, or violent criminals to enter this country and threaten our neighborhoods. But let’s talk about who’s threatening us right now<\/strong>\u2014because it’s not the single moms, students, workers, or fathers seeking safety.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

It’s the Trump administration.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Silencing voices of opposition? That’s criminal.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Ignoring court orders? Criminal.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Disappearing people into foreign torture prisons after a judge says you can’t<\/em>? Criminal.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

No one should disappear in a democracy.<\/strong> Secret detentions and quiet deportations are the tactics of dictatorships<\/strong>\u2014not constitutional democracies. When people vanish into ICE custody without explanation, families are left terrified and confused, legal counsel is locked out, and the government escapes accountability. <\/strong>Disappearances aren\u2019t just bureaucratic oversights\u2014they are a calculated way to strip people of rights, dodge oversight, and silence opposition. This is not immigration enforcement. It\u2019s a fascist power grab<\/strong> masquerading as policy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

And let\u2019s be clear: being undocumented is not a crime<\/strong>\u2014it\u2019s a civil matter. Yet a 34-time convicted felon President Trump and his Republican cult of obedience are criminalizing migrants while rewarding cronies and punishing critics. That\u2019s how authoritarianism takes root. That\u2019s how liberty dies. We must demand transparency from ICE and DHS\u2014not politely, but urgently.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

This is about more than immigrants\u2014it\u2019s about power. When due process is ignored for people like Khalil, Romero, S\u00e1nchez, Arias-Cristobal, and Berrios, it’s a test: can a president erase rights and get away with it? If we fail to stop it, no one is safe\u2014not teachers, not journalists, not you. This is the line in the sand. Will we be a nation of laws\u2014or of strongmen crushing dissent? We must rise. For the disappeared. For the detained.
