Trump and his BFF Jeffrey Epstein<\/p>\n\n\n\n

You don\u2019t have to be the renowned Inspector Poirot<\/a>\u2014of Agatha Christie fame\u2014to get that Donald Trump does not want the Jeffrey Epstein files released because he will be personally incriminated. The information in these files is apparently so damning, Trump is even willing to anger swaths of his base who for years have been vocally demanding its disclosure.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In fact, many in Trump\u2019s current inner circle had in the past publicly clamored for the Epstein file\u2019s to be released. In 2021, JD Vance slammed a deal reported at the time that would keep Epstein\u2019s client list<\/a> concealed. In 2023, Kash Patel<\/strong>\u2014who is now FBI Director\u2014went on a popular right wing podcast saying<\/a> the only reason the Epstein files have not been revealed to the public is, \u201cSimple, because of who\u2019s on that list\u2014Put on your big boy pants and let us know who the pedophiles are.\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

It appeared those voices were on the verge of getting their wish when in early February, Trump\u2019s Attorney General Pam Bondi appeared on Fox News confirming that she was in possession of the Epstein client list and was set to release the files. During that interview,<\/a> host John Roberts asked whether DOJ would release a \u201clist of Jeffrey Epstein\u2019s clients\u2026Will that really happen?\u201d<\/strong> Bondi responded: \u201cIt\u2019s sitting on my desk right now to review<\/strong>. That\u2019s been a directive by President Trump. I\u2019m reviewing that.\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Add to that, Bondi in March–again while on Fox News– declared<\/a> she had uncovered a \u201ctruckload\u201d of evidence relating to Epstein that spanned \u201cthousands\u201d of pages including \u201cflight logs\u201d and documents containing \u201cnames and victims\u2019 names.\u201d<\/strong> (The fact Bondi distinguished between \u201cnames\u201d and \u201cvictim\u2019s names\u201d is very relevant.) She later added, \u201cThe Biden administration sat on these documents,\u201d but \u201cwe believe in transparency, and America has the right to know.\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

That brings us to Monday, when the DOJ released a memo<\/a> that deserves an award for serving up the very type of doublespeak that George Orwell in his book \u201c1984\u201d predicted would come from oppressive, dishonest regimes. The memo<\/a> begins with a promise of being open and honest: \u201cAs part of our commitment to transparency,<\/strong> the Department of Justice and the Federal Bureau of Investigation have conducted an exhaustive review of investigative holdings relating to Jeffrey Epstein.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The DOJ\u2019s page and half memo then allegedly summarized \u201cthousands\u201d of documents with no detailed explanations. Instead, they offered empty conclusions such as the \u201creview revealed no incriminating \u2018client list.\u2019\u201d They added\u2014again with no details\u2014that there was no \u201cevidence\u201d that anyone else committed a crime despite noting \u201cEpstein harmed over one thousand victims.\u201d <\/strong>The DOJ also claimed that Epstein died by suicide\u2014which Trump even publicly<\/a> scoffed at in 2019.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The DOJ then reached their big conclusion, \u201cIt is the determination of the Department of Justice and the Federal Bureau of Investigation that no further disclosure would be appropriate or warranted.\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

To the corrupt Trump regime, \u201ctransparency is secrecy.\u201d Just as in the iconic book, \u201c1984,\u201d the party told the people, \u201cWar is peace, freedom is slavery, ignorance is strength.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I\u2019ve often written that no one understands his base better than Trump. That means Trump knew in advance this decision by his DOJ would anger the base.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

And it did just that, with a barrage of attacks from well-known MAGA influencers with one writing<\/a>, \u201cNo one is believing the Epstein coverup, @realDonaldTrump. This will be part of your legacy.\u201d<\/strong> While other well-known (vile) MAGA fans demanded Bondi resign. Benny Johnson, one of the most loyal and known pro-Trump influencers shocked people with his slam of the Trump regime\u2019s cover up. He even quoted from Orwell\u2019s \u201c1984\u201d writing<\/a>, \u201cThe Party told you to reject the evidence of your eyes and ears. It was their final, most essential command.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

There is zero doubt Trump supports keeping this information from the public. He told us that point blank on Monday after Bondi, Patel and other Trump officials were being brutally slammed<\/a> by MAGA figures for refusing to release even one more page. That is when Trump posted<\/a> a full throated endorsement of them online.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Why would Trump do this\u2014and at the very time Elon Musk is starting a new political party designed to poach people from MAGA? Simple, common sense tells us that the evidence in those files will make it clear Trump was involved with Epstein\u2019s actions. After all, Trump knows exactly what is in the files given they are in the possession of his DOJ!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

While we don\u2019t know with certainty what the files say about Trump\u2019s involvement, we do know the following undisputed facts:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

1. Trump and Epstein<\/a> between the 1980\u2019s to the 2000\u2019s socialized together among the rich and somewhat famous crowd of Palm Beach, Florida and New York City. In a 2002 interview with New York magazine,<\/a> Trump boasted, \u201cI\u2019ve known Jeff for fifteen years. Terrific guy. He\u2019s a lot of fun to be with.\u201d<\/strong> Trump added, \u201cit is even said that he likes beautiful women as much as I do, and many of them are on the younger side.\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

2. Trump and Epstein continued to be photographed together<\/a> at events until 2004. Reportedly the two then had a falling out at that time and were not seen again together starting in 2005. It was in 2005, that Epstein was first criminally investigated<\/a> after reports that a 14-year-old girl was molested at his mansion.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

3. In 2019, the Miami Herald<\/a> detailed how Epstein had molested in area of 50 underage girls in a massive sex trafficking ring that he and his co-conspirator Ghislaine Maxwell had engaged in. That reporting triggered a federal investigation that resulted in Epstein being indicted in July 2019. The US Attorney in New York, Geofrey Berman, at the time explained,<\/a> \u201cThe indictment unsealed today alleges that, between 2002 through 2005,<\/strong> Epstein sexually exploited and abused dozens of underage girls by enticing them to engage in sex acts with him in exchange for money.\u201d That means Trump and Epstein were still close from 2002 to 2004 during the time Epstein was actively engaged in his child sex ring.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

4. As The Washington Post reported, \u201cWhen Jeffrey Epstein\u2019s little black book of phone numbers appeared<\/a> in a court file a few years ago, it contained 14 numbers for Trump<\/strong>; his wife, Melania; and others in Trump\u2019s inner circle.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

5. Trump LIED about ever flying on Epstein\u2019s private jet<\/strong>. After Epstein was charged in 2019, he denied<\/a> that he had ever flown on Epstein\u2019s private jet dubbed by the media<\/a> as \u201cthe Lolita Express\u201d because of it being used to transport underage girls. We now know Trump flew<\/a> on Epstein\u2019s private jet at least seven times<\/strong> according to fight logs released as evidence in the trial of Epstein\u2019s co-conspirator Ghislaine Maxwell. And in that 2021 trial, Epstein’s former pilot, Lawrence Visoski Jr, testified<\/a> that Trump flew aboard Epstein’s private plane on various occasions.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Last month when Trump and Musk first began to break up, Musk dropped what he dubbed a \u201cbomb\u201d about these very files, writing on Twitter, \u201cTime to drop the really big bomb:@realDonaldTrump is in the Epstein files. That is the real reason they have not been made public.<\/strong> Have a nice day, DJT!”<\/p>\n\n\n\n

There is little doubt Trump\u2019s name is in the Epstein files given how close the two were for so many years. And Trump knows that from his DOJ. Common sense tells us that if Trump is willing to piss off his base to keep the information about him in the Epstein files from seeing the light of day it\u2019s really bad for him.
