Tuesday’s Senate hearing gave us even more proof<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

During Tuesday\u2019s Senate hearing, Donald Trump\u2019s Attorney General Pam Bondi defensively lashed out every time she was asked about the Jeffrey Epstein file and his sex ring. For example, when Sen. Dick Durbin quoted<\/a> her own words about how she said in February that the Epstein client list was \u201csitting on my desk right now for review,\u201d she slammed the Senator for somehow quoting her out of context.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

He didn\u2019t. In reality, during a February Fox News interview,<\/a> host John Roberts asked her whether DOJ would release a \u201clist of Jeffrey Epstein\u2019s clients\u2026Will that really happen?\u201d<\/strong> Bondi responded: \u201cIt\u2019s sitting on my desk right now to review<\/strong>. That\u2019s been a directive by President Trump. I\u2019m reviewing that.\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Another example of Bondi\u2019s over the top defensiveness came when Sen. Sheldon Whitehouse asked her about \u201cpublic reporting that Jeffrey Epstein showed people photos of President Trump with half-naked young women.\u201d<\/strong> He added, \u201cDo you know if the FBI found those photographs in their search of Jeffrey Epstein\u2019s safe or premises or otherwise?\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Did Bondi respond with a yes or no? Nope, she immediately attacked Whitehouse without ever answering, angrily declaring<\/a>, \u201cYou know, Senator Whitehouse, you sit here and make salacious remarks, once again, trying to slander President Trump left and right, when you\u2019re the one who was taking money from one of Epstein\u2019s closest confidants\u2026\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

But Sen. Whitehouse pressed her again, asking, \u201cThe question is, did the FBI find those photographs that have been discussed publicly by a witness who claimed Jeffrey Epstein showed them?\u201d Her response this time was literally silence.<\/strong> She said nothing and just looked at Whitehouse until he commented, \u201cYou don\u2019t know anything about that?\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Bondi\u2019s actions are what prosecutors would call \u201cconsciousness of guilt.\u201d I\u2019m not suggesting she was part of Epstein\u2019s child sex ring. Rather the guilt comes her role covering up for those involved in the sex ring\u2014that begins of course with her boss Trump and includes many rich and powerful men.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

As I wrote<\/a> about months ago, questions about Bondi\u2019s role in the Epstein cover up were sparked by the fact that she did not prosecute Epstein when she was Florida\u2019s Attorney General from 2011 to 2019. As a reminder, after Epstein\u2019s release from jail in 2009, Epstein returned to his lavish lifestyle and was able to \u201ccontinue his abuse of minors\u201d\u2014a point made in a 2020 report<\/a> by Trump\u2019s own DOJ. Making this even more suspicious is that as Florida\u2019s AG, Bondi did very publicly prosecute<\/a> numerous other cases involving sexual predators who targeted children\u2014but never Epstein.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

And Trump\u2019s own DOJ headed by Bondi told us in a July memo \u201cthat Epstein harmed over one thousand victims.\u201d Yes, more than one thousand people were victims\u2014presumably many when Bondi was Florida\u2019s top law enforcement officer, yet she did nothing.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Making this cover up more challenging are the words last week of Trump\u2019s own Commerce Secretary Howard Lutnick who told<\/a> us that Epstein\u2014who he personally knew\u2014was the \u201cgreatest blackmailer ever.\u201d Lutnick shared the blackmail scheme, noting Epstein would offer powerful men massages from the women (and presumably children) he was trafficking. Lutnick explained, \u201cThey get a massage, that\u2019s what his [Epstein\u2019s] MO was. \u2018Get a massage, get a massage.\u201d He noted that \u201cwhat happened in that massage room, I assume, was on video.\u201d That is when Lutnick declared, \u201cThis guy was the greatest blackmailer ever, blackmailed people. That\u2019s how he had money.\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

On Tuesday, GOP Sen. John Kennedy actually pressed<\/a> Bondi on this, reading Lutnick\u2019s words to her and then asking is it true that Epstein was \u201cthe greatest blackmailer ever\u201d? Bondi once again was evasive to a direct question, instead saying, \u201cSenator, as our July memo said, we did not uncover evidence. This case has gone through three administrations, as well as former U.S. Attorney Alex Acosta\u2026\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

At that point Kennedy interrupted her, \u201cI know that, Pam! But have you interviewed Secretary Lutnick?\u201d She responded, \u201cNo,\u201d to which a surprised Kennedy pressed her, \u201cDo you plan to?\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

From there we saw Bondi go back to full defensive mode, saying, \u201cIf he wants to talk to the FBI or the FBI wants to talk to him\u201d which caused Kennedy to press her further on why won\u2019t she seek to speak to him?

The answer is clear. She is part of the cover up.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

There is no doubt Epstein was blackmailing numerous powerful men. That was the very point Epstein survivor Lisa Phillips made in our discussion<\/a> last month. Phillips\u2014who was one of the courageous women who spoke at a Capitol Hill press conference in early September\u2014explained, \u201cJeffrey wasn\u2019t doing this just for his own sexual gratification. He was building something out.\u201d She then added this jaw dropping line, Epstein \u201ctold me to have things on people, so the young girls were there to serve a purpose, a grander, bigger purpose, darker purpose.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

When I asked her point bank do you mean he had created an international blackmail scheme, she responded, \u201cWell, Dean, I mean, you hit it on the nail there. I mean, that\u2019s exactly what was going on.\u201d Phillips flagged the real question that demands an answer: \u201cHow deep it goes, and who\u2019s involved?\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

And Phillips also confirmed that Epstein had video cameras everywhere. She noted, Epstein \u201cvideoed everything on his island, everything in his house,\u201d all \u201cso he has the proof.\u201d That \u201cproof\u201d of course was for blackmail purposes just as Trump\u2019s Commerce Secretary told the us last week.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Epstein survivor Marina Lacerda explained<\/a> at the Capitol Hill press conference why she and others who suffered Epstein\u2019s evil need files like these videos and photos released. She stated, \u201cThe worst part is that the government is still in possession right now of documents and information that could help me remember and get over all of this maybe, and help me heal.\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

All of this means that the Epstein case is not going away despite Trump and Bondi\u2019s desperation to once again hide this from the public. And it shouldn\u2019t be allowed to disappear from view. I don\u2019t say that for political reasons but because the survivors deserve justice. As Phillips told<\/a> me, \u201cit hurts that Epstein took advantage of us, abused us, groomed us yet no one has really been held accountable.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Every person involved in trafficking women\u2014and especially the children–for sex, must be prosecuted. And we must use our voices to make that happen!<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
