The Maine Democrat has said that \u201cin the years since Roe was overturned, Susan Collins has done everything she can to skirt responsibility and avoid accountability\u2014from skipping hearings to avoiding town halls at all costs.\u201d<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

After Maine\u2019s Republican Sen. Susan Collins<\/a> told a reporter on Tuesday that she does not regret voting to confirm US Supreme Court<\/a> Justice Brett Kavanaugh<\/a>, despite the resulting reversal of Roe v. Wade<\/a><\/em>, her Democratic challenger Graham Platner had<\/a> a two-word response: \u201cYou should.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Noting that this is the five-term senator\u2019s first reelection campaign since the Dobbs v. Jackson Women\u2019s Health Organization<\/em> decision<\/a> overturned Roe<\/em>, a journalist from News Center Maine<\/a> asked Collins whether she regrets voting for Kavanaugh\u2014who was accused of sexual misconduct during the confirmation process.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
