On the fence about hosting? The No Kings coalition created <\/strong>a new host guide laying out all the steps you need to get your event on the map<\/strong><\/a>.<\/strong> In just a few simple steps, you can get your event for Saturday up and running:<\/p>\n
Step 1: <\/strong>Check the map.<\/strong><\/a> For this No Kings Day, we\u2019re looking for hosts to spin up LOTS of events of all types, from rallies to visibility bridge brigades to walks to the polls. It\u2019s a good thing if there are multiple options throughout the day in an area, so add your own event, or consider teaming up with a fellow host.<\/p>\n
Step 2: Check federal, state, and local rules and regulations on hosting an early voter event.<\/strong> Before registering your event, get an idea of what you can and cannot do in your county, city, and state. Our compliance considerations guide<\/a> can help.<\/p>\n
Step 3: <\/strong>Submit your event.<\/strong><\/a> This Mobilize form is where you\u2019ll add the details of your event. For further guidance and information, review the Host Toolkit<\/a>, and keep reading below to get inspired for creative event ideas.<\/p>\n
Step 4: Complete the host survey.<\/strong> Once you\u2019ve submitted your event on Mobilize, you\u2019ll get an email asking you to complete your survey. Please note that this step is mandatory and your event will not be published unless the survey is complete.<\/strong><\/p>\n
Step 5: <\/strong>Join upcoming No Kings coalition trainings, or watch recordings of past calls.<\/strong><\/a> Event hosts are required to watch an upcoming safety, de-escalation, and compliance training before October 17. You can find the full list at the link.<\/p>\n
