Agree as a group ahead of time what it is you want and when you want it by<\/p>\n

Start with a hashtag and work backwards<\/p>\n

Educate your protesters about their rights that will be violated by police resistance<\/p>\n

Don\u2019t worry about making the perfect sign\u2014in the end, your individual impact on world affairs is statistically insignificant<\/p>\n

Compose a chant that somehow rhymes\u00a0patriarchy<\/em>\u00a0with\u00a0Islamophobia<\/em><\/p>\n

Make your protest as welcoming as possible\u2014everyone can march and hold a sign, but some people might not be comfortable handcuffing themselves to a truck to get Pepsi Blue back<\/p>\n

Press your trousers before marching\u2014nothing says you mean business like a crisp pleat<\/p>\n

Make sure enough people say they\u2019re going on the Facebook event so that you don\u2019t have to show up yourself<\/p>\n
