Thanks for signing up to participate in the “Break the Internet” protest on\u00a0December 12th, to get Congress to stop the FCC from ending net neutrality.<\/p>\n

In the past few weeks, there’s been a tremendous surge of opposition to the FCC’s plan. If everyone does as much as they can right now, there’s still a chance to stop it.\u00a0We need to persuade our members of Congress to oppose this plan.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Here are some concrete things you can do right now:<\/p>\n

  1. Call Congress now, if you haven’t already<\/a><\/strong>\u2014 we need as many calls as possible.<\/li>\n
  2. Share the BattleForTheNet campaign to get others to call:\u00a0<\/strong>share now on\u00a0Facebook<\/a><\/strong>\u00a0and\u00a0Twitter<\/a>\u00a0<\/strong>with just a couple of clicks.<\/li>\n
  3. If you run a website, display a prominent alert for the day of action using\u00a0<\/strong>this code<\/strong><\/a>.\u00a0<\/strong>You just need to embed a bit of javascript in the header of your site, and on\u00a0December 12\u00a0your site will invite users to contact the FCC and Congress. You can also use the\u00a0Cloudflare app<\/a>\u00a0or\u00a0WordPress plug-in<\/a>. Or you can also install our\u00a0WordPress CatSignal<\/a>\u00a0for important announcements in the future.<\/li>\n
  4. If you\u2019re a video creator, use our 30-second bumper to explain why net neutrality matters.<\/strong>There are square, vertical, and horizontal versions for you to\u00a0download here<\/a>.<\/li>\n
  5. Blog about the day of action.\u00a0<\/strong>Whether you\u2019re a business or a blogger, tell your followers why net neutrality matters to you, and then send us a link. Feel free to\u00a0adapt this language from the\u00a0July 12th\u00a0day of action<\/a>.<\/li>\n
  6. Share\u00a0<\/strong>this video<\/strong><\/a>\u00a0so that everyone will know what net neutrality is.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    We encourage everyone to get creative and think about how you can best get your friends, family, or audience to participate in the “Break the Internet” day of action \u2013 whether it\u2019s by sharing on Facebook and Twitter, putting something prominent on your site, sending a push notification to your mobile app users, making a video, or anything else you can think of!<\/p>\n

    Don\u2019t stop driving traffic to BattleForTheNet.com! We need to keep up the pressure, even after the vote, to make sure Congress does everything it can to stop the FCC from dismantling net neutrality.<\/p>\n

    So if you\u2019re ready to start driving traffic from your site, go for it! And don\u2019t let up. We\u2019re in this for the long haul.<\/p>\n
