The Bioneers 2023 Conference is only a few months away! Come to Berkeley, CA on April 6-8 and join thousands of engaged and civically active attendees for three days of riveting talks, movement building, and connections. This week, we’re releasing our first slate of panels and deep dive sessions along with several newly confirmed keynote speakers. Visit us online to see what we’ve got programmed, and check back regularly for updates.
Below are just a few of the fascinating afternoon programs:
- Food from Unique Spaces: Foraging, Rooftop Gardens and Desert Polyculture: Food can be grown and gleaned in some very unexpected places, from commercial building rooftops to rural deserts. Come learn about some cutting-edge diverse, innovative, local and rejuvenating food security strategies.
- Gender Equity & Reconciliation: Thirty Years of Healing the Most Ancient Wound in the Human Family: This session will highlight three GERI program areas that span a diverse spectrum of gender identities and intersectionalities which will demonstrate how the methodology of deep truth-telling and collective alchemy can dissolve root causes of gender conflict.
- Authoritarian and Anti-Authoritarian Movements: In this session, two experts, one who studies the right, the other a veteran of and keen observer of anti-authoritarian movements, compare notes and discuss what history might teach us about what we progressives might expect from the collisions of these dueling dynamics in our own era.
- Check out the full schedule, including topics like Regenerative Finance, Grassroots Women and Climate Justice, Urban Forestry and many more.

Both tours will include transportation, site visits, presentations by experts, and specially-themed lunches. Separate registration is required, and Bioneers attendees can use the links below for a discounted price. The Bay Area Green Tours expedition will showcase several cutting-edge socially conscious urban farming and food production projects in the East Bay.
The Ethnic Ties Travel tour will celebrate the vibrant cultural history and ever-developing landscape of the East Bay as a hub of social justice activism.
