July 28th is the anniversary of the 1915 US Marines invasion of Haiti. The 19 years of US military occupation that followed – with its attendant martial law, conscripted labor, corporate land grabs, Wall Street profiteering, white supremacy – emerged as a blueprint for US/western intervention throughout the Americas and the impoverishment of Haiti that continues to this day.

Join us to demand that France pay its debt to Haiti. France forced the Haitian people to pay what amounted to over $21.7 billion in today’s money as “restitution” to their former French enslavers, robbing Haiti of billions of dollars that could have developed the Haitian economy and infrastructure. In 2003, the democratically elected government of former President Jean-Bertrand Aristide announced that it was pursuing this demand; this was a key factor in France’s cooperation and support for the U.S.-orchestrated coup that overthrew Aristide’s government and launched another foreign occupation in Haiti. Join us to condemn the ways in which the US and France continue to exploit Haiti’s resources, dominate its political life and prop up the tiny, violent and corrupt Haitian elite that now rules the country.

Join us to affirm our solidarity with the powerful Haitian grassroots movement that continues to fight for democracy and true sovereignty.

DA Brooke Jenkins is invited as a guest to this event “Fight Asian Hate Party” Fight Asian Hate: Celebrating API Empowerment:

Fight Asian Hate: Celebrating API Empowerment, Imperial Palace, San Francisco, July 28 2022 | AllEvents.in

On July 28th, in Chinatown, the new “district attorney” is an invited guest, the event is promoted as an “Anti- Asian Hate” event but in actuality some of the hosts are part of the movement behind the recall of Chesa Boudin. Some of the sponsoring groups are also involved in the hate messages to Supervisor Gordon Mar.

This is really dangerous. We know that “Anti-Asian Hate” has been used to build fascism right here in San Francisco.

We are against Hate in our Asian,  Black, Brown, and White  communities!

We need  to clearly denounce how the Asian community is  being  used by the 0ppolitivians in the city taking advantage that many do not speak English and are brought to vote and to protest against all progressive measures with many not even knowing what they are doing. Much of their campaign is based and elevating fear amongst the Asian Community towards the Black & Brown communities.

  – Jail Killer Cops – we demand killer cops be charged with murder.

  – Abolish the police!

The POA defends police officers that have executed and terrorized people in our community. Currently there are 5 spfd officers that have been charged under DA Chesa Boudin.

SFPD officers need to be held accountable to people in our communities

If you can’t attend, please contact SF Mayor London Breed and the SF Board of Supervisors. Tell them you OPPOSE their  funding for the SFPD.

On July 21, SF BoS approved a two-year, $14 billion budget that includes the hiring of 220 police officers to fill vacancies within the San Francisco Police Department – this was Mayor Breed’s proposal.

Only one supervisor didn’t vote for this – Supervisor Dean Preston

Over four decades ago, the 1979 Sandinista Revolution ousted the hated Somoza regime, challenged U.S. imperialism and inspired workers and the oppressed around the globe. Today, the Sandinista National Liberation Front, in power for 20 years, has become its opposite, imprisoning former militants and outspoken critics, leaving freedom and hopes for socialism in the dust.

This conversation will explore how this betrayal occurred and focus on the lessons for today, especially for women, students, and indigenous people in our hemisphere.

Featuring:
Stephen Durham,
Co-author of “On the nature of the Nicaraguan State” and coordinator of Freedom Socialist Party’s work with the Committee for Revolutionary International Regroupment
