Masks encouaged
Join a multigenerational, multiracial, multigender coalition to protest the Catholic Church-sponsored Walk for Life West Coast
Despite threats of Project 2025 and a second Trump presidency, and despite the Democratic Party’s shift toward the right wing, we hold steadfast in our refusal to be controlled by right-wing religious fundamentalism. They have tried time and time again to control us– and they have failed and will continue to fail!
We are still here and we will continue to fight for reproductive justice, which includes all aspects of bodily autonomy. Reproductive justice is the right to choose whether and when to have a child, the right to raise a family in a safe and healthy environment, and the right to have control over all aspects of our sexuality, including our gender. Reproductive justice brings power back into the hands of the people and guarantees bodily autonomy for ALL individuals. Join us in building our power and our collective voice!
Our event will include speakers, chanting, music, and a participatory art/poetry installation. We are in the process of getting an ASL Interpreter. Accessible toilets are available in the library bathroom.

9:00am coffee, breakfast available for nominal fee
9:30am program
More than 20 years after the U.S. invasion of Iraq, the United States is still heavily engaged in warfare in much of the Middle East, whether firing missiles at purported enemies, or providing
massive amounts of weaponry to Israel. Norman Solomon will talk about the current dynamics of what Martin Luther King Jr. called “the madness of militarism.” He will discuss the ways that
the U.S. media and politics have enabled ethnic cleansing to intensify in Palestine, while American taxpayers have subsidized Israel’s war of genocide in Gaza. He will also assess the
prospects for restraining militarism in our foreign policy during the next several years.
Norman Solomon is national director of RootsAction.org and the executive director of Institute for Public Accuracy. The paperback edition of his latest book, War Made Invisible: How America
Hides the Human Toll of Its Military Machine, includes an afterword about the war on Gaza.

8. Sunday, 10:00am (PT); 1:00pm (ET), From Supporter to Organizer: How to Take Action with the Boycott Chevron campaign
Online:
Register on ZOOM: Webinar Registration – Zoom
Chevron has its figurative fingerprints on destroyed homes around the globe:
Chevron has, through its business extracting natural gas for Israel, funneled over $462 million in tax revenue to Israeli government coffers. That money fuels the bombing of Gaza and the violent displacement of Palestinians, destroying or damaging 92% of homes in Gaza.
At the same time, Chevron was responsible for 3.2% of global fossil fuel emissions in 2017, which worsened the LA fires that burnt 12,000 homes to the ground.
The Boycott Chevron campaign is an opportunity to take our skills from 15 months of mass mobilizing protests and apply them to a strategic target. Everyone can be part of a push to hold Chevron accountable for poisoning people and our planet! We can follow in the footsteps of successful 1980s boycott wins against multinational corporations that enabled South African apartheid.
Learn specifics of how to take coordinated action together January 31-February 2 for the #BoycottChevron: Weekend of Action:
– Simple, impactful strategies for your community based on which Chevron gas stations, sponsored venues, or other locations are in your area (afsc.org/ChevronMap)
– Step-by-step how to plan your first picket, flyering, or stickering action (more in our toolkit: uscpr.org/ChevronToolkit)
– Small but impactful actions for “beginner” supporters to participate in
– Tips for building a local team
