The Alice PAC met yesterday to interview candidates and hear from supporters and opponents of ballot measures. Following a full day of thoughtful discussion, the PAC voted on its recommendations to the Alice membership.

We look forward to bringing those recommendations to our membership for a vote on Monday, August 10.

For three races, we’ll be giving the process a little more time:

• San Francisco Board of Education
• San Francisco Community College Board of Trustees
• BART Board of Directors, District 8

The San Francisco Department of Elections has extended the nomination period for these races through Wednesday, August 12, because the incumbents did not file nomination documents.

To give Alice members the opportunity to consider the complete field of candidates, we will hold our endorsement votes for these three races on August 26.

All other scheduled endorsement votes will move forward as planned on August 10.

We’re excited to have our membership come together, weigh in, and help shape Alice’s endorsements for November.
