THEME: Mother’s Day
WHEN: Sunday, May 14th at Noon
Gather at Bridge Plaza, SF side. Walk to middle of bridge and back. We’ll assemble for photos both before and after the walk, and will display signage for motorists and pedestrians as we walk the bridge. Bridge walkers from all over the world often join us and take pictures. Join us to celebrate the nurturing essence of motherhood and take action to build a local peace economy. In the words of Julia Ward Howe who put out the first call for a Mother Day: “From the bosom of the devastated earth a voice goes up with our own. It says, ‘Disarm, disarm!'”
Contact Toby at ratherbenyckeling@comcast.net for any questions.
Wear pink or come as you are, but come in the spirit of unity for nonviolence. Bring signs ( 2×3 ft. or smaller)……wooden sticks/poles are now permitted.
