This is a heartfelt call to action. On Saturday, January 13th, we stand together in Washington, DC, marching for justice, for peace, and for the rights of our Palestinian brothers, sisters, and siblings in Gaza. They are enduring a brutal, genocidal assault – an affront to their human dignity marked by ethnic cleansing and oppressive apartheid-like conditions.
I urge you, regardless of your color, gender, national identity, or sexual orientation, to join us. This is a call to all persons of moral conscience. We must gather in unity to exert pressure on the Biden administration, challenging their immoral complicity in the genocide against Palestinians in Gaza.

Our voices will resound in unison, calling for an immediate and permanent ceasefire. We demand an end to U.S. complicity in these atrocities. It’s time to echo and commend the courageous stance taken by South Africa in invoking the Genocide Convention. We call upon other nations to stand with us, to support this call for justice and human dignity.

This march is a historic moment of solidarity – bearing witness to our collective resolve to fight against injustice wherever it rears its ugly head. Let us come together to show that our commitment to human rights knows no bounds.

I look forward to standing shoulder to shoulder with you in Washington, DC. Together, we can make a difference. Together, we can be the change.

In Solidarity and Hope,

Dr. Cornel West

Thank you for joining this week’s “Missing Peace Monday” Community Call. In times like these, staying connected and sharing strategy is crucial as we unite to demand a ceasefire in Gaza and an end to the Israeli occupation in Palestine. This Monday, we discussed CODEPINK’s ICJ campaign and the upcoming hearing on Thursday Jan. 11 as well as the March on Washington  for Gaza Rally happening in D.C. on Saturday, Jan. 13.

Here is a breakdown of last night’s resources so you can support and take action!

And if you are going to be in DC before the 13th, join our congressional advocacy day and community gathering on January 12th!

Our next Missing Peace, Connecting Struggles: The Importance of Intersectional Organizing for Gaza, will be on January 15. We will discuss the importance of connecting movement struggles for liberation. We can’t wait till we see you again!
