Our campaign to elect CalCare champions is officially in full swing, Mike.

We’re supporting seven candidates running for state office across California — and thanks to dozens of folks like you who stepped up to volunteer, we’re already making big strides to ensure they win their elections and can fight for single-payer health care in the California legislature.

One key piece of our strategy is voter contact. Together, we’re calling and texting voters in these seven districts, sharing why nurses support these candidates, and urging them to get out and vote on June 7th. But with nearly half a million voters we still need to contact in the next two months, we’ll need more help to make sure we stay on track.

That’s why we are organizing a statewide, virtual text bank party this Monday, April 11, from 5-7 pm PT — and we need you to join us. Will you help us elect these seven CalCare champions by joining us to text voters, identify supporters, and get out the vote?

This text bank party will kick off with a live demo and training — so if you’re new to this work, this event is a great place to start. If you’re already a pro, you can jump in and just start texting.

Not only will we make serious progress toward our goal of contacting half a million voters, but we’ll also have fun. While texting voters on our computers, we’ll play music, share our progress in the chat, and enjoy being in community with one another.
