King in the Wilderness a documentary by Peter Kunhardt goes beyond the myths and supposedly facts and presents a refreshingly frank and sober insight into the last years of Martin Luther King.

The film reveals a conflicted leader who after the Voting Rights Act passed in 1965 faced an onslaught of criticism from both politicians, close associates and even the
President of the United States.

On a review from Variety magazine King in the Wilderness is assessed as a searing film because it takes Rev. King down from the mountaintop “You glimpse the real glory of who he was, not a walking monument but a human being with fear, humor, guts and (amazing) grace under pressure”.

After the screening there will be a discussion and Q&A.
