Mary Peltola in Alaska’s At-Large District
Rep. Mary Peltola made history earlier this year when she became the first Alaska Native member of Congress in history. She beat two Republican opponents—including Sarah Palin—to win the statewide seat for the Democratic majority. She’s facing down her extreme MAGA opponents again this November and the grassroots are rallying to keep her in Congress. None of us want to live in a world where Congresswoman Sarah Palin is a federal lawmaker. Our Alaska Indivisibles have been hard at work fighting to ensure that their representatives actually represent their interests. She may have won the recent special election to become the first Alaska Native member of Congress, but that does not mean that the general election is a done deal! We can’t let up on the momentum now!
Will Rollins in CA-41
Will Rollins is a young pro-democracy candidate running to unseat anti-choice extremist Ken Calvert. Calvert voted against the Women’s Health Protection Act, supports jailing doctors who provide abortions, and supports rapists’ right to dictate whether a victim can get an abortion. In Congress, Will will fight for our rights and our democracy, and hold violent extremists accountable. This is one of the first times in recent election cycles that the democrat running against Rep. Calvert is a true progressive. He has energized the local grassroots community and people are ALL in on Will Rollins. He has some real momentum and this could be a potential pick up seat for us in the House.
Marie Gluesenkamp Perez in WA-3
Marie Gluesenkamp Perez is running to flip her red district blue and defeat one of the most extreme MAGA candidates running for Congress this year. GOP nominee Joe Kent is a Trump-obsessed conspiracy theorist openly planning to weaponize Congress against political enemies. Marie is committed to protecting the right to choose and fighting for working families. I can’t tell you all how much of a FAN GIRL I am for Marie. You might be asking yourself why we added this one so late to the game? Well, the race took the National center stage when Republican Rep. Jaime Herrera Beutler LOST her primary to MAGA extremist Joe Kent. Herrera Beutler was more of a moderate than Kent is, which is likely why she kept winning in that district. Now that the moderate is out of the picture, democrats and independents are highly motivated to NOT have a MAGA extremist in office. Queue Marie Gluesenkamp Perez, a young, smart, thoughtful, energetic, and down to earth progressive who is not afraid to tell it like it is about her MAGA extremist opponent. The whole state has rallied behind this district to try to help swoop up this opportunity for a pick up seat in the House. Don’t believe me? Check out this article!
Kim Schrier in WA-8
Rep. Kim Schrier is a pro-choice Democrat with a strong record of serving her district since elected to Congress in 2018. She’s in a tossup race against a radical MAGA candidate who has confirmed that he’s in favor of a nationwide abortion ban, and would outlaw abortion even in cases of rape and incest. Rep. Schrier will always fight for the right to choose and continue bringing jobs and investment to WA-08. Rep. Schrier is in her 2nd term and is in one of the districts in WA that was significantly re-districted, meaning we don’t know what to expect. Even though Rep. Schrier won in 2020 by about 3.6 points, that can’t be an indication that this is a safe seat. As Ezra said while he was in WA, one of the main roads to keeping the House Majority runs through WA and right through WA’s 8th district!
