A tidal wave of protest against racist police violence coinciding with a deadly pandemic, the worst economic crisis since the Great Depression, and environmental devastation is presenting social activists with urgent and profound political challenges.
– How do we understand and expose the role of the police and legal system in sustaining white male supremacy and class exploitation?
– What demands will most challenge the capitalist status quo, create meaningful change, and empower working and oppressed people?
– What will it take to transform protest in rebellion, and rebellion into a revolutionary transformation of society?
Join us for this remote study group on Lenin’s classic, The State and Revolution. Discussions will sharpen our critical focus on the capitalist state of the 20th and 21st centuries and the tasks of today’s revolutionaries.

Join a livestream event with community and postal worker leaders to talk about the next phase in our campaign to Save the Post Office.
Postal workers have delivered the democratic rights of 65 million people who voted by mail in the largest expression of our popular will in history.
But without action from Congress and the new administration, the Postal Service could run out of money due to the COVID crisis. And the Postmaster General has threatened to reinstate his crippling slowdown policies just as the holiday season ramps up.

Twitter will play a key role in enabling Trump to lie about the election results. We must demand that they protect the results and defend the integrity of our election.
Silicon Valley will continue to be instrumental in the spread of white supremacy until we are at least as outraged by lies and hate as Republicans are by truth.
With every tweet and refusal to commit to accepting the legitimate results of the 2020 election, Trump seeks to stoke chaos and fear.
Though Twitter is hiding some Trump tweets, they allowed his premature victory speech, and his tweet, “STOP THE COUNT!” was retweeted two-hundred thousand times in only a few hours. Twitter is Trump’s coup app, and it’s on you to call them out.
Join us to honor the valid results of the 2020 election, ensure that every vote is counted, and show up to demand the peaceful transition of power.

Organizing beyond election day and building an independent mass movement for people’s needs!
More than 70 million people voted to oust Donald Trump in the Nov. 3 election, and Joe Biden has now been declared the next president of the U.S.
The elections were largely a referendum on Trump and not a mass show of support for the pro-Wall Street, pro-war, and pro-policing positions of the Biden / Harris ticket. The 2020 presidential election has been the stage for racist voter suppression and intimidation, and the sabotaging of the inspiring and progressive Bernie Sanders campaign. It has been intertwined with the mass uprisings against racist police terror in a time of economic and public health crises.
What is next for the people’s movement at this critical juncture? How can we strengthen the movements for free universal healthcare, affordable housing, environmental protection, and Black lives, alongside mobilizing against the militarism and war that will continue under a Biden government?

9. Saturday, 12 Noon (PT); 3:00pm (ET), Chinese Americans United Against the New Cold War
Online:
http://www.facebook.com/peacepivot
Join us on November 14th at 12pm PT | 1pm MT | 3pm ET for a compelling panel discussion of Chinese Americans united to reject the new US cold war against China.
Racial scapegoating of Chinese-Americans and Asian Americans continue to rise as a consequence of relentless and pervasive China-bashing. The panel of highly respected members of the Chinese-American community will address the history and legacy of anti-Chinese racism in the United States, the current revival of Anti-China hysteria, which is closely linked to the US-China cold war, the organic relationship between U.S. militarism and violence here at home, and why we must pivot to peace, not war with China.
The panel will propose ways for the US and China to work together under a multilateral formula for world peace and reject US efforts to provoke war with China under any circumstances.
This webinar will be hosted by the newly formed Pivot to Peace, and is sponsored by Chinese Six Companies and Chinese for Affirmative Action.

March to Reject the Racist POA Contract
Sunday, November 15
1:00pm
Meet at:
San Francisco Police Officers Association
800 Bryant St.
(6th Street & Bryant)
SF
On Tuesday, 11/17 the SF Board of Supervisors will vote to approve or reject a dangerous and sneaky contract written by the Police Officers Association that would cement status quo policing for another two years.
This police fraternity contract makes NO changes to policing policy, gives cops more raises, and requires cops to get the same raises teachers, nurses & city workers get. We can do better. Black, brown, trans, disabled, and unhoused lives depend on it.
It would enable the POA to aggressively bully city workers and legitimate unions with their racist agenda even more than they already do. A vote to approve this contract is unacceptable.
On Sunday 11/15 at 1 PM we will march to show the Board of Supervisors that we are watching, and that no amount of explanation is going to convince us that they need to guarantee raises to police officers. After running campaigns based on BLM messaging we know that the BoS can do better than this and they know it too.
Tear up the contract.
Host: Defund SFPD Now
